Hi, my name is Sedellia! I am a junior and am taking Jewelry as one of my electives this year. Last year I took ceramics, and it was enjoyable to escape the real classes of high school, but I found out that creating art out of clay isn't really my thing. I took Jewelry for a couple of reasons. One of them is because it is another class that will be more enjoyable and help me to not stress about the other classes I am taking, but I also took it because I am very interested in learning how to make jewelry. When people wear really cute, intricate necklaces and I am interested in learning how to actually make them.
This class could possibly help me with my future because by learning how to make really cool jewelry pieces, it can become a really nice hobby for me to do in my free time, and to help me relax. Also, because I hope to become a motivational speaker some day, if I develop the skill well, I can even possibly set up a side business to sell the pieces that I make to help raise extra money on the side while I am building up my career.
